We have been extremely busy here at JLR Sound, and it just keeps getting bigger & better. Fat Jack's Music is making great progress and we feel we have much to offer local musicians, sound engineers, promoters and more. Our focus is on providing performance opportunities at festivals and in public spaces, instead of the usual pubs & clubs. If we can't find a gig, we'll create one! We are also proud to announce some exciting performance opportunities in conjunction with Gold Coast City Council's festivals and events - most recently securing Mayan Fox & Spruce Moose to perform at the Broadwater Spring Music Festival, on the same bill as Darryl Braithwaite . (Happening on the 25Th & 26Th September @ Broadwater Park lands) Fat Jack's will provide the following services: # Management Services - right now we have two great bands under the Fat Jack's banner - TroubleKarmaFlow & The OK Cowboys. We provide a grass roots level of management, and as we run most of our own shows, the bands get to keep the majority of their performance fees. In fact, in most cases, they keep it all! We believe in keeping the profits in the hands of the bands, so we encourage them to take a greater control of their music careers. # Fat Jack Presents Series - taking off from the JLR Presents series, the Fat Jack Series will be bringing you bigger and better shows in a more natural environment - park lands, botanic Garden's, markets & more. # On Line Store - New & ex demo stock of Tanglewood, DR Strings, Kustom Amps & more. # Instrument & musical equipment reviews. Each week we will be featuring a new product. The reviews will be in the format of a video tutorial, which you can download. # Prizes & plenty of free stuff to give away - by joining our mailing list, you will go in the draw to win a swag of goodies, including a Ukulele, guitar strings & more.
